I'm on fire, aren't I?

I'm definitely planning to do a lot more fanart this year (at least until fall, when I get back to school); so I'm starting by doing some illustrations for my favorite bandom fanfiction writer.

This is one of the more climactic scenes from jjtaylor's "The Detective's Secret and the Mystery of the Dancing Flowers" (sequel to "Gerard Way's (Vampire) Detective Agency," which I've previously illustrated). It's an incredible story, and a seriously romantic, cathartic moment. I've tried to do it justice.
